Fans of British band Coldplay are a determined lot.
Coldplay is set to perform at Bukit Jalil National Stadium on Wednesday night (Nov 22), with the doors to the venue to open at 5pm.
However, it's reported that the fans who bought tickets to the “Standing Zone” area started queuing up at the concert venue as early as 7am.
According to a report by a Malay media, there were hundreds of people spotted at the venue by security guards who started duty at that hour.
The number had doubled by 11am.
Coldplay is only performing one night in Kuala Lumpur, arriving here from a two-night concert in Perth, Australia (Nov 18 and 19).
KL is the last date in 2023 for Coldplay: Music Of The Spheres World Tour, and all tickets for Bukit Jalil venue were snapped up in under four hours when they went on sale in May.
After the break, the group will continue its tour in January 2024 starting with two nights in the Philippines, followed by six nights in Singapore and two nights in Thailand – ending its Asia/Australia leg.
The Grammy-winning Coldplay is known for hits such as Viva La Vida, Yellow, Paradise and Trouble.
